President Trump in difficult spot, taking center stage at Republican National Convention By John Zogby
Former top White House adviser Steve Bannon became the sixth insider to Trump to be indicted.
Frankly, it is a little weak for Trump to claim that he didn't know anything about Bannon's alleged scam, let alone to surround himself with people like this in the first place.
The president can trash Biden and the Democrats all he wants, but he will never be able to take last week away from them.
The Democratic National Convention effectively highlighted the differences between them and the president and his party masterfully. And Biden more than rose to the occasion.
The campaign is far from over, but as of now, the president is in serious trouble.
His job performance is weak, his ratings for handling the worst epidemic in a century are in the tank, 3 out of 4 people in the U.S. feel the nation is headed in the wrong direction, and he trails Biden nationally by an average of 8 points as well as almost every battleground state.
As Trump takes the stage at the virtual Republican National Convention, and he is in trouble, serious trouble right now.
