Marianne Buttenschon (NY-119 Assembly Candidate) Speaking Thursday at Utica College

Marianne Buttenschon, Dean of Emergency Preparedness and Public Service at Mohawk Valley Community College, and candidate for the New York State Assembly (District 119), will participate in the annual speaker series hosted by Utica College’s chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the national Political Science Honor Society.

Buttenschon will speak this Thursday, March 29 from 7:00 to 9:00pm at the Carbone Auditorium, located on the first floor of the Economic Crime and Justice Studies building. Education and economic development will be the focus of the talk. This event is free and open to the public.

The 119th seat is being vacated by Anthony Brindisi, who is running for Congress in the NY-22. Buttenschon declared her candidacy in July of 2017. Fellow Democrat Christopher Salatino, President of the Utica School Board, joined the race in February of this year. Salatino will be speaking at Utica College as well. A future date is forthcoming.
